dm 06 This is real minimalism, folks. I suggest pixel size for as much legibility as you can squeeze out of this one. Try large sizes for a cryptic effect. This font was made with no filters and three bricks, hence the name Subfour. For neurone_error there is the cloned legible version.

Tell me if you want UC. This font was made with no filters and three bricks, hence the name Subfour.

Brilliant. Could it be more legible if you increased the spacing a bit?

Or "readable" rather...

I'd like to see UC
Comment by Rob Meek (meek) 7th april 2012
Me too.

Any more minimalist and we'd have to 'think it' rather than 'read it' :)

Cool minimalism and I like the cryptic feel... :)

Nice one, increased spacing would definitely make it more legible. Looking forward to UC!

I just wrote a long reply and lost internet, so it was all in vain. Point was, being legible isn't always best. This font wasn't built for readability. As a compromise, I'll make a more legible clone. And thanks, guys, for the great feedback. UC coming up! (the lc took about 10 minutes, so it'll be done in a few mins.)

Man, that T was tough.
Comment by demonics 7th april 2012
Great to see UC, it works well, even the T. You're right, the other version is more legible, but this one's visual impact is much stronger. 10/10 for both!

Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “dm Subfour” is now a Top Pick.

Where has passed the LB version which was better in my opinion ?
Comment by Abneurone Fluid Types 10th april 2012
@neurone_error It is in my archives because I did not see a use for it and was trying to clear out my public page. You don't seem to have problems when beate empties out his or her fonts. Again, if it affects you, send me a PM, and remember that all my works are indeed clonable if you feel you want a better version.

For your reference, the spacing was 0.49, global. Please utilise the Clone button if it means that much to you. Thanks :)

Oh, whoops! Forgot to thank you, meek! Thanks very much for this unexpected honor.

I did not mean to hurt you in any way. you're the boss with your fonts. I personally make many versions of my fonts and finally put out many that maybe some would have prefered, i apologize. Now i figure out there was no point to tell you this. Sorry.
Comment by Abneurone Fluid Types 10th april 2012
@neurone_error No, I apologise. I was accidentally too snappy with you and didn't realise that you meant no harm. We just have not only different styles but different ways of putting our work out there, and there's always a reason to say something. So I am sorry, for not being polite and assuming the worst about what you said.
