I can see the headlines: "Zombie Toasts Bite Back. Terror lurking on the supermarket shelves. Sliced bread infested by savage mutant toasts. Bleeding customer complained: Ferocious toast bit my lip." etc.

You could make some sinister variants with teeth, kind of Pac Man style. Just a thought.

Elmo, do you know the graphic novel "STRAY TOASTERS" by Bill Sienkiewicz ? One of the most demental and incredible painterly comix ever done. An absolute masterpiece ! You should check it out.
