Interesting idea... My first impression was that the capital letters and numerals are hollow or cut out, revealing darkness and shapes beneath... Sort of like a 3-D illusion. Is that what you were actually going for?

I wish I could have thought far enough in advance to do that. I basically started with a cut out image that was placed in the same position(almost)on all of the capital letters.

Okay, so my guess was pretty close. :-) I still think it's an interesting idea, and definitely worth some more exploration.
