Very good attempt! Honestly, FontStructor isn't the best program for making Kanji fonts, because of the fixed grid, it's very hard to create any good fonts for more complex scripts.
I agree, this program is however perfect for pixel fonts like my RetRoman and Pixelvetica projects
What's the junk at the start?
I've been trying to find out how to make kanji on here for ever. I am trying to replicate the style and font of an old japanese utauloid artist who shall not be named for reasons I will not go in to. I have a pretty consistent style with all the Kanji I've made in MSPaint so far in his style. All of them have been 7x7 pixels or something close to that. If there is kanji or chinese support on FontStruct, please tell me. I really want to have a font with kanji support, and none of the other 10 programs I've tried are as good as FontStruct, nor do they allow pixelated fonts by editing each and every pixel. Here is the font so far. I only have all of the hiragana and some katakana: https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1983826/kstyle-3 .
@WillAnimates you can see all the kanji in existence by clicking "Expert Mode" then doing "advanced > unicode letter sets" in the menu. the kanji are in the character lists beginning with "CJK Unified Ideographs". there are quite a lot (like around 93,000 of them)!
The glyph limit per font is 65,535* so you may want to make it across two or more fonts if you do create every CJK letter that exists in Unicode (plane 0's in one font, plane 2's in another another, and plane 3's in yet another font)…
*Well, you can still save it, but the downloaded file will most likely break beyond this limit…
@bwm technically they aren't letters but ideographshssnmshsnshshsshshshs i think
