The word 'Destruction' lead me to create a simple block test, thinking about points of stress where breaks may occur in the letter. I then looked at ruins and began to work out ways of creating 3D shapes by picking out shadows, using different thicknesses of lines. This sparked and idea related to the channel 4 logo which I interpreted to form a style and set of rules to continue throughout the typeface. -
