  • This is a homage to Тетрис aka Tetris, released in 1984. Through studying the game I bumped into an emulated screen from the original game, featuring a very simple 10px font. My version is a faux-cyrillic intended for display purposes.Use the | (vertical line) character to build the tetrominoe blocks. Eventually I challenged myself to go further and develop the whole cyrillic alphabet (my first!) which is available along with a basic latin set of characters.

Wait a minute. Tetris was created in Soviet Union? That's news for me! Anyway, nice interpretation of Cyrillic characters.

yeah, its pretty similar to the Russian word четыре chetri meaning "four" since that's the most lines you can take out in one move.

and all the more since, if you think about it the somewhat Russian sound to the main tetris theme, compounded with the St. Basil's cathedral you often see with it...
