This font, which used to be called Malachite, took me just over a year to complete. The overall design took the longest, and the remainder of the time was spent deciding on how to do the punctuation and the diacritics, some of which weren't forthcoming until recently. It is also older than listed, as this is a cloned version of the original that is no longer on here. I created it in late 2009, or early 2010—I can't remember; and, Minimum was the inspiration for it's creation. :)

You can get Ptah on Font Library. —See link below.

Okay peeps. I've finished it. I've added characters, an italic version, and kerned it, and I'll let you all know when and where you can get it.

P.S. For anyone looking for Malachite, this is it. I changed the name because Malachite is already taken.

An interesting and well balanced design - well worth the time and effort put in.

I have made changes to it since this version.

I feel like this font is underrated. Not only is the design pretty cool, but it works well as a text font too, and seems to remain remarkably legible at all sorts of font sizes.

Comment by Umbreon126 18th September 2016

Yeah, I can definitely agree with that. And, thank you. It does remain quite legible and does work well as a text font. I use it primarily for my music project, Ib.

Here's an example of it in use from my last album entitled "The Path of Kheper-i":

If you're curoius, and like atmospheric new age music, you can check out my music here:

I composed these albums to meditate to, in order to help transition one's energy into higher frequencies, and to ease that transition.

Beautiful 'open' music...

The sleeve text is easy to read and calming for the eye (if that is possible to understand...)

Comment by Aeolien 18th September 2016

Why, thank you. :) And yes, that is actually understandable; I had just never thought about it that way. Even in the sample, which is tiny, I can easily read it. The background, if you're curious, is the color (frequency) of Love, i.e., sea-foam green.

I've updated Ptah. I've re-kerned it, i.e., respaced and simplified it, added a lot more characters, and altered a couple. The font now supports virtually all Amerindian and African languages, and the glyphs in the Private Use Area are mapped to the same code points as those in Dehuti. Enjoy. :)

I've updated Ptah yet again. I've slightly altered the Q and W, most of the punctuation, and added lowercase numbers and quite a few more characters.
