This font implements a (non-ISO2047-conforming) set of modernized graphical representations for the nonprintable characters of 7-bit ASCII, namely 00-1F, 20 (SPACE), and 7F (DELETE). They are assigned to Unicode code points 2400-2421 (in the Control Pictures block) to avoid confusion with the actual nonprintable characters themselves.

This font is for representing the nonprintable characters of 7-bit ASCII using symbols that are more meaningful and intuitive (at least, in a modern context) than those of the ISO-2047 symbol set.
