Inspired by the pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and the flying buttresses found in Gothic architecture and the calligraphic Gothic Hand, a young and undaunted designer set forth to minimize counter space and emphasize vertical height with only a few bricks. The result was a modular blackletter font with crossbars, serifs and finials embodying a sense of sideways movement. May the design gods have mercy on her soul. -
