Robert Bringhurst, in his "Elements of Typographic Style", says that "type is idealized writing". With this in mind, i set out to create a font based on my own handwriting, except "idealized", in other words normalized it so that it becomes usable as type (within the contraints of the FS engine of course, making for a somewhat blocky font). This taught me a few interesting things about how apparently similar letters (b/d, p/q, etc.) are actually "drawn" very differently on paper, & for this reason should probably be designed differently when turned into actual type. So I don't know if this font is really usable -- for me it was more of an exercise but I'm happy with the result so far, so there it is.
