Hey there samofshs,

I just came to tell you that this font is absolutely fantastic! I joined up on the site just to make this download. I think this would work great for some of my puplic graphic design projects!

I would like to offer you payment for permission to use this font. I have sent a PM including amount and personal information. Please contact me!!

This is an excellent font. I love the concept and how this font flows together when used. I will surely get alot of use out of this font. I only wish I could rate it higher than 10.
Comment by amidoinitrite 7th december 2009
Oh wow! This font is great. Its so good I even used it on my on an essay and my professor liked it. he liked it so much he wrote "Nice choice in font!" on the cover.
Comment by FreshPrince 8th december 2009
samofshs, you are a genius!

i have been browsing this site for hours, looking for a font that shouts professionalism, refinement, and high quality. i was beginning to feel i wouldnt find anything here even close to the high standard i was looking for, then lo and behold! zalgo appears to save the day! hell its so good i will even use it on my business cards.

i work in publishing by the way, so send me an email if you wish to discuss commercial applications for 'zalgo' and any other font designs you may have/be working on.

Wow, just wow. So I actually designed a t-shirt with this font on it and yeah. You wouldn't believe the vajayjay I get now. All thanks to my shirt which utilizes this badass font. Thanks man. Quite possibly the greatest font on this site.

Cheers!

good for you. didn't mean to rain on your parade. your fans are passionate, that is obvious. but when i see a comment like, 'i have been browsing this site for hours, looking for a font that shouts professionalism, refinement, and high quality. i was beginning to feel i wouldnt find anything here even close to the high standard i was looking for...', i am somewhat at a loss for words. i think such a statement casts a poor reflection, not on the talented designers working here at FS, but on the person who made it and all i can answer with is, 'really?' it's one thing to celebrate your work and quite another to imply the fonts available on this site are somehow lacking. so my comments weren't necessarily directed at you or your font, but rather your fans. peace, my friend.
Comment by funk_king 8th december 2009
I don't want to comment on this work. I respect all forms of creative expression, including those I don't really understand. Instead, I'd like to say something about the comments.

@jj0hn: "This font is one of the best i've seen so far." This sounded like a sigh of a prisoner after three months of solitary confinement and sensory deprivation. I strongly suggest to go out and expand your experience. Consider book covers, magazines, and wine labels for a start.

@spannerofmong: While I respect your opinion, I'm somewhat puzzled by the fact you didn't find anything on FS but zalgo "that shouts professionalism, refinement, and high quality." I can't help, but have a suspicion we don't speak the same language. If "high standard" means one could not decipher the text, well there is plenty more in the Gallery>Everything section, you just have to dig deeper.

@Chrossler: Beware, this is a derivative work, and as such is owned by the author of the original, whoever it may be. Any financial gain should be his/hers. He/she is to be contacted to get permission for any possible use not included in the license.

samofshs,

I am an entrepreneur residing in Alabama. Lately I haven't been getting the respect on a professional level. I added this to my portfolio and powerpoints I use. Love it man. Keep up the great work. I like keeping things with a little swagger and would commission you to make more fonts like this.

Humorously, after all the discussion of the various forms of trolling, the most basic form of it here seems hard to identify. No, I take that back – you fellows must know exactly what this guy is doing even if you don’t call him out on it. Such a strangely generous approach. You all must also know the internet adage,“Don’t feed the trolls.” Does it apply to fontstruct? The largely positive dialog regaled amongst comrades is still deliberate enough that it has little chance of being baited and carried away on tangents spawned by ill-intended interlopers for long.

Just remember, effective parody requires first a high degree of understanding of the subject, second sarcasm and verve. Err, I mean, swagger. Without the first, all that can really be achieved is stilted mimicry.

Just because this is better than anything you could create there is no reason for jealous anger.
The guy made a nice font. Pretty original in my opinion and I'll probably use it myself. -and no, I'm not trolling.
Thanks Samofshs I expect many more great fonts from you.
Comment by CreativeWriting17 9th december 2009
@CreativeWriting17: Let's make something clear. samofshs did not create this font. It is not his/hers original. It is a clone. He/she has modified it, but not beyond recognition. Whether those added modifications are good, or "original" is matter of taste, of course. I still don't want to comment on that, but I'm looking forward to see an original work of him/her that gets as much attention as this derivative one.
Comment by Frodo7 9th december 2009
LMAO There are no other people involved here - only samofshs who has set up multiple accounts to masturbate his ego.

Look at the other user names - all created on the same day and none of them have produced a FS.

samofshs has only ever created rather poor handwriting fonts himself, but has cloned quite a few created by others.

So, I guess what we have here is probably a young person with a slightly schizoid approach to the reality of FS ... sad really.
Comment by samofshsclone 9th december 2009
THIS GUY NEEDS HELP, HE SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR.

The self promotion you are doing is laughable.
It will inevitably be your downfall, as the major players on this site think you're an idiot, who has designed a really poor font.
Comment by ChristianD 9th december 2009
@Frodo: Am I doing the comment thing right? I have been looking at wine bottles just about all day long to educate myself on font structures. I have even gone to the bookstore and, no not read the books, read the fonts on the front of bookcovers. It is so incredibly enlightening to looks at the structures of the letter and not the words that they spell out! I have a new appreciation for sans.

Will.i.(ohm): I would suggest correcting your errors in the type before you submit the comment instead of leaving the errors. Some people may consider you pretentious. There is actually a nifty tool on the keyboard called the "backward facing arrow" that is on the top right of the keyboard, if you didn't know! good day to you all.
P.S. I appreciate your theory on trolls and the so-called "parody" on this page. It's just too bad you don't appreciate a good sans sarif when you see one. I sure do, thanks to Frodo

Comment by samofshs 10th december 2009
@Chrossler: Sorry, I didn't tell you anything abouth wine bottles. It was to jj0hn. Is it so difficult to keep track of multiple accounts?

Never mind. I visited your website. It has a tremendous potential for improvement. You are a smart kid, you can do a facelift on it by yourself. If you are interested in graphic design you can find a lot of resources and tutorials at Smashing Magazine http://www.smashingmagazine.com/
Look for "grunge style", where you can use zalgo too. Good luck.
Comment by Frodo7 10th december 2009
frodo7, your comments are confusing. i went to chrossler's page and he didn't have a website listed. was that directed towards me? i couldn't tell from your comment.
Comment by samofshs 10th december 2009
@samofshs: Sorry for the confusion. The website was yours, the one in your profile. Remember, grunge style.
Comment by Frodo7 10th december 2009
After a few minutes search I have found the root of samofishs' behaviour. 'zalgo' appears to be a rather childish post-Lovecraftian web-based fad that involves defacing existing artwork (it started off with the defacement of a Dagwood cartoon). This ties in with samofishes' defacement of the cloned 'ebook roman'.

There is a lot of talk (on relatively few, badly constructed sites) about chaos and the end of the world and such phrases as Zalgo is a corruption, an unholy blight.

It seems to appeal to intellectualy, educationally and artistically challenged little boys who, like H P Lovecraft, are probably school dropouts.

Based on the evidence samofish appears to be here only to cause disruption and discord. Probably the best way forward is to trust that the FS Staff will deal with this minor irritant.

In the meantime we should starve this mewling brat of the oxygen of publicity and just ignore him.
Comment by samofshsclone 11th december 2009
@will.i.ૐ, samofshsclone, Frodo7, ChristianD, funk_king

Insulting samofshs will get you nowhere. Noting that there were 5 votes at the '1' rating I can only wonder where they came from. It is deplorable for other users to rate another font the lowest rating. What has FS come to? A petty vendetta to put down others fonts?
Comment by Denzel Johnson (mobilesuit) 11th december 2009
Of course you are just baiting us again, yet you expose yourself all the same. So you may as well stop wondering about the 1 votes, Mr. Weber (all of em, including yours). That small part of you that actually cares, screaming for attention to the point that it demands the easily accessed negative attention, will likely never know who approves of your stunt and how. Yet I will tell you that a trollish, racist and ribald guffaw is simply not worth voting on. You wholly earned this no-vote from me. I called it like I saw it, asked for necessary moderation to keep the peace and decency and mutual respect of these parts, and am now moving on.

I can also assure you that it is very unlikely Frodo7 voted at all. Admirably, he almost always gives positive feedback and constructive criticism – if a project might benefit from significant improvements he waits to see if the artists meets the challenge before casting a characteristically benevolent vote. There is no artistic challenge here, only a very challenged individual who probably could use the support of real fiends. I truly wish you luck finding them.

You have walked into someone else’s living room where something highly specific and sophisticated transpires amongst friends. Your sometimes indecent provocations may interrupt the dialog, but this too will pass. May your naive judgements of us fold inward to reveal to your own self your deepest areas of growth and healing.

A la diosas.
Comment by William Leverette (will.i.ૐ) 11th december 2009
@mobilesuit: I've never voted for zalgo or any other samofshs' font. I didn't even commented on the work itself. When I cast my vote I usually leave a notice indicating the actual value. If relevant, I leave a notice saying that I did not rated that work that time. It is to prevent misunderstandings: having listed a number of shortcomings in my comment, the other person might think I also gave a poor rating.

As for numerical values, for several reasons I've opted for an everything or nothing policy: I only give 10 points or none. No exceptions so far. It is a self-imposed restriction, to use the points/stars only to reward and encourage people. It is far too easy to find some defects in any fontstruction (save a very few). Had I followed my perfectionist values, I wouldn't have given full ten points at all, or only in a few occasions. Instead, I think, well targeted generosity could do a lot more good. Apart from the high quality fonts, I comment on works where I see a spark of spirit, a potential, originality, hard work, or other merit to be recognised. A given comment, without vote, may give publicity to that particular work on FS Live, and subsequently could boost its rating.

I've never insulted samofshs, and I don't use rating in a tit-for-tat manner. It is an infantile behaviour, and speaks volumes about the immature character in question. However, it is safe to say you have made some people very passionate about your works, or conduct, and they've expressed their strong negative opinion. Who can blame them?
Comment by Frodo7 12th december 2009
It's just dawned on me that we're giving this idiot the attention he craves. Like a kid with a new toy, look at me, look at me! I think I've said enough. But what I will end on is this font is utter shite, it's a terrible typeface, an immature design with too many faults to list.

I voted it one, as jjohn, lovrgurl, Chrossler, amidoinitrite, FreshPrince, Spannerofmong, Kavard & mobilesuit are all the same person.
I voted it one for the deception.
I voted it one for the stupidity of it all.
My only regret..... I wish I could have voted it lower for the sheer audacity and misguided egotistical attitude of samofshs - What a joke he is.
Comment by ChristianD 12th december 2009
I've watched this farce without joining in (or voting).

All I can say is that anyone who knows Frodo7 will realise that he is the last person who needs to justify his actions. He is probably one of the most honourable people to be a member of FS.

That said, I recommend that you all follow the suggestions of ChristianD and samofshsclone and just ignore this rather sad episode.
Comment by p2pnut 12th december 2009
Would a moderator delete or hide these baseless accusations?
Comment by Denzel Johnson (mobilesuit) 13th december 2009
@mobilesuit (or whatever profile you are signed in with today): Your use of the term 'moderator' suggests that you think that FS is just another chatroom or forum - hence the casual way you treat it with disdain.

It is actually an application which enables people to express their creative talents in the field of font design. It's great fun and quite a challenge to produce new designs. Why don't you try it sometime?
Comment by samofshsclone 13th december 2009
well, I will reply to the people lurking my font page in two ways.
1)samofshsclone: lrn2zalgo. you just tried o tell everyone what zalgo is, but zalgo isn't. also, please delete your account or at least change your name as I find it quite offensive and I'm sure we don't want to do that to anyone.

2) will.I.ohm. why would you call ME of all people racist? i find it funny that you make assumptions about people without having ever met them or even spoke with them on anything other than fonts. you should seek mental help. (and you should seek gramatical help. my name isn't spelled 'Weber'. it's spelled 'Webber'.)
Comment by samofshs 17th december 2009
@frodo7 LOL. that website is just a shitty front page I use to host files and things when I need them unblocked in places where they normally would be. it's not intended as a viable website, it's a tool for me to hack with.

He Waits Behind The Wall, in a palace of tortured glass, served by legions forged from the tears of the sleepless dead and clad in armor carved from the suffering of mothers. In his right hand he holds a dead star, and in his right hand he holds the Candle Whose Light Is Shadow. His left hands are stained with the blood of Am Dhaegar. He sings the song that ends the earth. The hivemind that confounds the living, and perpetuates the torture of the damned. He takes the eyes, the window of the soul, removes the ability to feel...anything but pain. Once the eyes have been removed, the soul is removed. The living husk is testament to cruelty and everlasting doom. He cannot be stopped, as fear cannot be stopped. He is inseparable from reality, as he exists beyond the veil...waiting.

I was always wondering to find a tool that converts zalgo text into a normal font and finally, I found a website that does so - https://zalgo.org

There's an option to unZalgo text which works like a charm.

We all knows that there are too many sites that will do this job but I have used https://fontvilla.com/demonic-text-generator this tool at fontvilla and enjoyed it very much.
