The name "Dodeca" comes from the Greek word δώδεκα (dódeka) meaning "twelve". The main angles are 0º, 22.5º and 67.5º, and the 3 angles, multiplied by 4 (the number of main rotations) equal 12, which form a dodecagon.
Keep in mind that there are extra 45º angles to improve the font.
