Okay, "Let's retry that again."
after I was done with simply staring at it in awe I zoomed in a bit closer, and now I start to see some jagged and incorrect interpolation of polygons.
I mean, I understand the tremendous task that it is, to go out and make these truly custom round forms in a large grid faux-Bézier style.
But, IMO especially this is exactly the reason why one would decide to dive in at deep end. In order to unlock max power and control over custom shapes.
So it kind of came as a slap in the face realizing that someone able to create such great beauty and elegance did not took enough pride in his own masterpiece to give it that last final touch of perfection and smoothen thing out. Even though you gave yourself a XXL sandbox in terms of grid surface. I see that most issues would probably be very easy to fix !
This wonderful work deserves it to be flaweless my friend ?
My comment might be a little bit harsh and direct, but, frusteration is only the by-product of actual love. So I hope you don't think I am trying to be rude or hate, I just want to love it even more... ?
Gorgeous! Hopefully there's a way to reduce those big extra loops between some letters (like in the word "brown"), as they confusingly look like extra letters. Maybe instead of ending all the letters at the bottom, you make separate characters that have a curve from top to bottom and vice verca, that you can add between letters?
@Yautja: I don't think it is actually that much of a distraction to be honest, I think the issue is with how some characters connect to "W" and perhaps rethink the left side of "W" and the way it presents itself to connect with any preceding characters.
BTW, my first comment looks a little awkward, but thats only because somehow my previous first comment somehow disappeared? ?
Wow! Precious and cute! And I'm with the guys about the possible improvements and the length of some loops and swirls.
Congrats on the TP!
Yep congrats on the TP!
Also perhaps an area where there is still some small room for improvements is: —Some stroke intersections do not align perfectly or have mismatching stroke width continuation.
And another thing I noticed, the left side of "G" botom loop has a minuscule hole in it, same for the top right side of "V".
Cheers
@Sed4tives: What eagle-eye you have, pal!
Thank you all for the comments. In my excitement surrounding this font, it was published a bit too early and I realize now how it still needs some serious TLC (construction to begin hereafter).
Sed4tives, fear not, your comment did not come across as harsh, the constructive criticism is highly valued. I will take what you said to heart and work to buff out those rough little inconsistencies as best I can. The end result will optimistically be one that is more favorable
Yautja, some of the loops may indeed have gone a bit overboard and I'll look into dialing them back a smidge to improve the overall readability
Elmoyenique, your ever-present positivity is prized as always
Mr. Meek, thank you for the Top Pick! Please know that this font will be one that continues to improve over time, and (with fingers crossed) it will reach the true standards associated with the little pink star it has achieved :)
Please do not hesitate to offer any other suggestions and critiques~
