BTW what kind of & sign should I use?
Very nice font, although there seems to be some grey "grid" visible on some zoom levels. A's bar could be slightly lower, and Q's tail may be a bit too long. Keep going!
Are the different heights/lengths of some characters ('I' 'J' 'T') intentional?
I would also optically adjust the curved characters - 'C' 'G' 'O' 'Q' 'S') so that they are a wee bit above and below the 'X' height. This would make them appear to be the same height as the other characters.
Would the 'S' benefit from being just a bit wider? - 1 or 2 squares maybe.
At the beginning I thought it would be a good idea to have a difference in cap-height to aid legibility, but Qimplef was right, the tall A didn't work well. I did make some letters slightly higher or lower , to make them look like they were drawn more forcefully. I decided to skip the & for now and choose what to do with it later.
I lowered the bar of the A slightly (1 or 2 bricks I think) and made S a little wider too. I might go back and change Q's tail, depending on what the u looks like. But I decided not to adjust C, G, O, and Q because these letters already have a small flat area on the top, bottom, left, and right edges to help with pixel display. This seems like a better solution. Also, the capital letters are only meant to be used at the beginning of a sentence, not for all-caps setting. I hope to eventually make a small-caps version for this purpose.
