Following an idea I had a year ago (I thought that a heart shape would form the basis for a neat lower case a) I've been designing and implementing this font for about 4 months. Composite blocks are now my best friend; Fontstruct's nasty habit of defaulting to cycle pen style whenever it feels like it is my worst enemy. I was going to wait until I finished designing and implementing 2, 4 and 5 before making this public, but I need a break.
If you have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know. But don't be too typographically technical on me; I'm not a designer, just an old retired engineer who has always liked to play with blocks.

I know what you mean about that b****y cycling pen ... I wish it would get on its bike and push off!
As another old retiree I wish you well with your block-play. I was delighted when I discovered FS a few years back and tentatively started knocking together a few simple designs - but beware, it can become quite addictive (in the best possible way) :)
For example, I really like it as the A, but I think the O could work better if it was less obvious.
I agree, pspnut, FS can be quite addictive - in a very positive way.
