Papatoh is a Lampung font designed using pixellated aesthetics. The name is taken from the word "patoh" which means 'to break' or 'jagged'.
The "induk surat" (lit. 'mother letters') or the base consonants are typed using lowercase letters, safe for the letter GHA which is written with the uppercase [G}. The letters NGA and NYA are written with [x] and [z]. The letter A is also written with the lowercase [a].
The "benah surat" (lit. 'lower letters') or the diacritics are written using a mixture of lowercase and uppercase keys. The vowels are all typed using lowercase keys, and BICEK is typed using [q]. The final consonants are typed with uppercase keys: DATAS uses [N], JUNJUNG uses [R], TEKELUBANG uses [X], TEKELINGAW uses [W], TEKELINGAY uses [Y], and KELENIAH uses [H].
The NENGEN or the virama is typed using the uppercase [Q].
