  • this font is based on the letterhead created for the Theatre Toneelschuur Haarlem. i came across this one from links provided by Afrojet a while ago from the book "Dutch Type" By Jan Middendorp, p 141. link: http://books.google.com/books?id=sR9g5xPPJVQC&pg=PA124&lpg=PA124&dq=%22Jurriaan+Schrofer%22&source=bl&ots=V4qa89tqBF&sig=HVQzWbGYS7P8BlrTIyHTx3CR7OM&hl=en&ei=Bj_iSujcKJSasgP_n4y_Aw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=14&ved=0CCwQ6AEwDQ#v=onepage&q=%22Jurriaan%20Schrofer%22&f=false

You even played with some UC-lc base shifting to get the bouncy feeling, specially with double vowels.
Cool!

I downloaded this long time ago and it is one that I like the most in my collection, but I absolutely did not remember this was one of yours. I understand this was not your concept initially but your adaptation to Fontstruct is a marvel. May I have some little suggestion : maybe I would have added some sort of big fat dot on the I to increase the fantasy of all this

Bouncy and cute. Like.
PS: Congrats on your new job.

Dear FK, I am very, VERY glad to have pointed this. The result is extraordinary. Your idea to reverse the fat dot on Lower Case gives it even more dynamic and fantasy (and maybe even a little crazyness) I was expecting.
And also, these 2 new Ii alone give the font even more autonomy from the source.
Genial.
I am also glad to have brought this beauty back to life through Live Section, so that Thalamic and others could rediscover this gem.

thanks, thal. can't take all the credit since this is a recreation. but i felt the same thing about the original. after searching to see if it had been digitized and finding nothing, i decided to give it it's due :)

thanks, neurone; for the attention and suggestion for the i. i agree that this gives the work additional distinction from the original source and adds greatly to the fun and variety of the font. merci :)
