Once we can change the spacing between glyphs, this could be used to spell out phrases in Morse. Until then, it's good for making code-tables, at least, which is why I made it. Punctuation and other languages (lots of 'em!) can follow if anyone's interested.

The famous Morse code. It would be nice to have a vertical bar to separate the "letters". Or better, if you have followed the international standards: short mark (dot) is one unit long, longer mark (dash) is three units long, intra character gap (between the dots and dashes of the same character) is one unit long, short gap (between letters) is three units long, and medium gap (between words) is seven (!) units long. Sloppy work renders this fontstruction completely useless. No rating given this time.

frodo, my friend. what are you doing? pointing out top picks that you perceive were or are not worthy? this is a slippery slope. but do as you wish. these early recipients are instructive to the overall growth of talent here at FS and the staff's growth at recognizing talent and innovation. you do realize that Gus did not award these and that early on there were less bricks and other functionality? this seems petty and not in your character. are you trying to embarrass FS staff? i think they have been gracious to a fault. if it were me, i would be suspending some accounts. but do as you will.

Frodo7, I only bothered with this 'Struct purely for another project in which unadorned horizontal presentation of single letters was the primary concern. I opened it only because there wasn't any sense in keeping it to myself, and there was a possibility of others needing just such a typeface. The "top pick" surprised me as much as anyone.

Here's the punchline. Zillions of up-to-spec standards-compliant pedant-satisfying Morse fonts must already exist by now. I didn't need those then and I don't need them now. If I were making a Morse font with the aim of notoriety, I'd put much more panache into it, and genuinely give critics something to complain about.

@funk_king: I don't want to embarass anybody. Not this time. I know, context is everything, and all the conditions were a bit different then. I've made a survey of the Top Picks, all the 1819, and found these examples amusing. That's all. It is unbelievable how simple FS started and how far it have come. Thanks to the great FS staff, and the creative members of this community. Some times we have to look back so as to truly appreciate where we are.

@Electric Keet: I'm sorry, I didn't want to disturb your peace. I was not after you. I've made a survey of Top Picks to find clear examples of plagiarism. Unfortunately, I did find a few, but it has nothing to with you.
