Intriguing approach, but I think the f, l,and t are virtually indistinguishable. Try words like “lift” or “filter” to see what i mean.

Oh, and I meant to say, I like what is going on with “fi” as in “filter” – it looks like a ligature and may give you an idea for how to resolve the standard f.

True, there is some other parts of bad legibility.
There is the solution of spacing it out somewhat more, giving it more legibility but losing some of the esthetic concept.
