At small sizes it looks nearly identical to the regular version. When printed with inkjet printers, it demands a few pico litres less ink for each pixel. It could save an estimated 20% of ink, reportedly.

Good @ pixel size (as you intended)

I had recently been thinking of an 'eco' font for a future project ... you beat me to it with this good work :)

@p2pnut: The ink saving font was not my idea. You can find several examples on the web. It is not too late to release an Eco version of some useful pixel fonts.

I hope Goatmeal is also listening.

For those who are not familiar with European superstore chains: the sample picture is a mock-up of TESCO's value/economy label, except the text, of course.

Yes, I've seen a few eco fonts. What I really meant was I had put the idea to one side and promptly forgotten about it :(
