@glennbroadway - In the old days of FontStruct, you had to place everything ABOVE the baseline to get any kind of fixed vertical gap between lines of text in programs that lacked such an option. Now you can activate a global adjustment in FontStruct:
1. Turn on Expert Mode
2. Go to Menu > View
3. Click/check "Line Height" option; two blue horizontal grid lines labeled "Top" and "Bottom" are now displayed
