thanks guys. this was fun. i somewhat enjoy trying to make curves in fontsruct on some level. more for the sake of the work than just the form. for we all know they can never really exist, so you try to get as close as possible i suppose, then let it go.
@djnippa - it does have a certain nostalgic feel to it.
Dude. You can't just keep giving this painful blows to my aversion to curve-faking fontstructions... I mean, it's been having enough of a hard time recently anyway, and it was already lying in the corner bleeding badly and making these alarming moaning sounds... And there you come along with this punch in it's face. Not fair. ;)
(It's still breathing though... Shallowly, but breathing.;) )
@tag - you have such a way with a phrase and love mr whippy :)
@p2p - you seem to have a pretty good handle on them, what with all those gnarly roots and branches of Entrees. that was truly state of the art.
@shasta - oh please, i don't want to hear it. you're just gonna pull out one of those "oh ho hum, this old thing that's being lying around" dynamite fonts of yours. bring it :)
hey! i was already LMAO at your comment to shasta and then I see my response, so i´ll just LOL some more.
But even without the intended pun, it´s a sexy fontstruction.
yeah, like i said - you were taking it the wrong way dude, but i like the idea. somehow the system duplicated the sample i had posted and when i deleted it, there went my response to you. but i figured you might still see it in the live feed :) thanks again.
I've been trying to do a connected font for a while now. I can make it connect, but what works for one letter doesn't for another. I've modified it so many times that I don't even remember what I was trying to do to begin with. Well, whatever. The point is, this font of yours is extra delicious in light of my own plight. Good job. Love the whipped peaks.
thal, thanks. i understand your fontstrations with these things. sometimes either it flows or it doesn't. i have some that i've started and went as far as possible, then leave it alone for awhile and when i return all is well or sometimes not :( you know. good luck though. i also agree a forum would be wonderful to share the pain, i mean share ideas and provide moral support :)
Nastyalgia dept: I remember seeing a poster for a frozen confection company by the name of -- believe it or not -- Gaytime, advertising a product called Frosty Boy. The tagline (I'm not making this up!) was "Frosty Boy -- Often Licked But Never Beaten".
It was a long time ago but it's hard to believe it was entirely innocent.

Reminds me of 1950's American Classic chrome car insignia.
