A criação do tipo Thesus teve por principio o condensamento da fonte TheSerif para demonstrar os cortes de que o Presidente da República Cavaco Silva foi se queixou.
Foi concedido maior peso à serifa, com o fim de demonstrar que os políticos estão diversas vezes “agarrados” aos cargos. Esta opção conferiu ao sistema uma forte personalidade.
Na construção foi tida em conta a forma de funcionamento da ferramenta fontstruct, Aquando o planeamento foram feitas propostas tendo por base esse método de construção.
A criação do sistema teve por base o sistema do tipo TheSerif mas assumindo o carácter próprio da Thesus.

The creation of the Thesus type had for a beginning the condensation of the TheSerif font to demonstrate the cuts of which the President of The Republic had complained about.
It was given more weight to the serif in order to demonstrate that the politicians are, several times, “clinging on” to their political office. This option gave the system a strong personality.
For the construction it was taken into consideration the operation of the tool fontstruct. Upon planning, propositions were made based on that method of construction.
The creation of the system was based on the TheSerif type system but assuming Thesus own character.
