I suppose catching butterflies is a sport. And it's also a swimming discipline ;) Use <>, (), [] and {} for wings in the beginning and end of words.

you have created some nice glyphs here. very clean and modern. i think you have wisely chosen not to go overboard with your design influences which has resulted in a more versatile font.

Nice entry, CMunk. Butterfly™ is also one of leading makers of ping pong paddles. That and your quirky lowered 'i' makes me think the typeface would be great for a new table tennis enterprise.
