Cyrillic italics look illegible for someone who only makes the roman forms. Ц might have a longer tail, и/й look like u, п looks like n, т looks like m, г looks like a reversed s, ш/щ look like a double u (not a w), д looks like a strokeless eth, and ц looks like a tailed/descendered u.
