@RobMeek btw. it seems like if there are two overlapping colors in two layers, in preview the color in layer-2 is visible but in downloaded font layer-1. initially, I forgot to delete the "red" part that was below the "blue" part in the letter "r" and despite in preview "r" looked like the other letters ("blue" part visible) in downloaded font "r" was whole "red" ("blue" was overridden by "red" below). only after deleting duplicating/underlying "red" in layer-1, "blue" became visible in the downloaded font.
