Work in progress. The kerning is... well, nevermind... ;-)

A solid design - well worth getting that pesky kerning sorted. 10/10

Awesome work, I am really loving this one! And yes, kerning is a real pain in the butt, but how cares about kerning when you have a font this high-quality? 10/10+fav

Thanks for all your feedback!

About kerning:
As you can see in the screenshot, I left a gap of one brick left and right of almost every character. In order to avoid two characters to stick together—we're not in the comp after all—I set the spacing to 0.3. I know that in the alphabetical order the kerning looks rubbish. But Adobe products fix a lot of things in this case if you set kerning to optical.

So, from my point of view it's either high brick count and faux curves or low brick count and terrible kerning.

Sorry, but I have not thought of a competition. I meant that the text looks a bit restless. That's all ; ) peace.

Sorry, and I meant the Connected Script competition, what with characters touching each other and all. No harm done... ;-)

And yes, you are absolutely right. The text looks a bit all over the place. Maybe the following is better. I did it with PS and kerning set to optical and spacing set to -50.
