Cool! Glad to have brought some inspiration. Think your solution for D is not working as well as the rest, though. All this reminds me an interview of the great photorealist painter Chuck Close who talked about the preparation of his canvases and the white above which he would develop his works, saying in substance this was a crucial step which would determinate much of the further piece, by the quality and the "personality" of this white. He said that if had stopped the work here, he could have get apice from Agnes Martin, known for here delicate, subtle white and pale colours monochrome (or close) paintings. He said he loved and admired her work, but for him, it was just his real starting point. Not to make an unjustified comparison, but modular type is much of the time for me some kind of starting point to go deeper and beyond to reach the borderline esthetic i'm looking for. This doesn't stop me from loving Modular type on others works, and i remember that before knowing Fontstruct making me active on types, often tagged "Modular" on other sites to give me inspiration for my graphic and textual work.
