  • I was looking for a 'university' type of font but soon decided to build my own, adding some novel solutions to glyphs that were too predictable in my original design. It is based on box shapes and made for filling/colouring, or indeed when printed at very large size it is great for cutting out and using like a 'picture frame'. A fun activity for kids, and it could help letter recognition skills, too (the Q might be difficult for that exercise, but it is one of those glyphs I wanted to look less familiar).

A lovely, clean design. I think that 'Q' looks great.

The only changes I would make are: 'C' a little bit narrower; 'M' a bit wider and the 'W' might be better if it was like two 'V's joined together.

Thanks p2p, I was unhappy with the W and tried alternatives but ran out of 'vision' in the end. I made the changes, it looks good now :)

That 'W' looks so much better and the whole design has more balance.

A very Happy New Year to you and yours.

Wishing you all a really happy successful and contented New Year!

I'm off to UK for a few days, so might not fontstruct until the weekend. See you then!
