Excellent tryptic of fonts with a beautiful sense of balance.
Thank you for the short historical background of Viking runes. It was so interesting, I've spent two hours reading about ancient Viking culture.
Your work, a Latin adaptation apparently, is nice, but feels a bit sterile. It doesn't have the robustness, or the distressed antique look one might expect. But it's a good starting point. 10/10
I appreciate the comments so far. I would stress that this is a make-believe historical font that culminates into "Space Viking". I envisioned a Retro-Futuristic world where the Vikings rose to world domination and now are raiding other planet systems for glory, gold and the promise of dining in Valhalla after a glorious death on the battlefield (where ever that may be). Hence the refinement from rock-etched runes to a more "sterilized", yet still hyper-aggressive font-type. Younger Viking represents a dominant font-type in the fake future-date range of the 23 Century A.D.
