The lower case has an extra cross in the centre of each glyph, making them reminiscent of the coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam. 'Singel' is the outermost canal of the historic city centre.

It does remind me a little bit of applique work, objects held in place with cross-stitch.
Will you make a few basic punctuation/symbol glyphs?
In any case: "Iamsterdam" ;)
