  • My first fontstruction is sans-serif font based off of Helvetica bold, at pixel level. After creating a standard pixel base, I then used brix to create an affect of subtracted diagonal lines. When I viewed these in fontstruct the lines became wavy, like bacon, inspiring the name of this typeface.

@jennawn - Congratulations on a nice first FontStruction.

1. The spacing between letters could be reduced.

2. Some of the punctuation does not follow the current pattern of diagonal striping.

3. To get a metallic/chrome/distressed look, you could shift the 3 'diagonals' up or down at random between glyphs - some grouped high, some grouped low, with no repeating or expected pattern...

A convincing upper case and the combination of pixel font and diagonal lining works really well! I would agree with Goatmeal's observations.

Thank you for your suggestions! I'll definitely take them into account when revising this and making FontStructions in the future.
