The name 'Save The Princess' comes from... In most of the Super Mario games, Mario is required to save Princess Peach from the evil mastermind Bowser. This font is based from the font that was first used in the mario games.

The name is what it is because it was based from the font of some of the very first Super Mario games. And I hope you understand that the whole point of most mario games were to save the princess, hence the name.
