Welcome to FontOut3!

Rules & Guidelines:

1) All FontStruct users may participate in FontOut, and can do so with as many entries as they like.

2) An entry in a FontOut is a picture or image on a specific FontStruct forum. It can also be a public font. There are no limits on licence.

3) The font must be tagged with "FontOut#" where '#' stands in for the specific number of the FontOut.

4) Every two weeks, a FontOut will be announced and participants can publish fonts or images within that two-week time period.

This FontOut:
(24th June 2012)
Create a new logo for FontStruct! Post a sample image showing the logo in the comments. The logotype must be done in FS, but it doesn't have to be a compete font. (Note: this is an unofficial contest, and the actual FS logo will not be changed.)

The last time you can upload a sample is 1st July 2012. Voting starts on that date.

@Abneurone Fluid Types: your first samples' rythm and composition is really great and my fav at moment! but (no offense) the colors are hurting my eyes and to be constructive: they divert from the well-shaped and balanced ensemble.

Oooohh... great ideas, both of you. truth14ful, Yautja has already started down that road with his/her first sample which I love.

So FontOut4 will be ligatures and FontOut5 will be intricate / crazy glyphs. This is in the true spirit of FontOut: I manage it, not censor or filter it.

Any other suggestions will probably make FontOuts 6 and later. :-)

FontOut3 has officially ended.

Congratulations Yautja! Your first sample has won FontOut3!

In second place: architaraz' first sample.

In third place: four's second sample.

Congratulations all FontOut participants!

This week, I thought I'd give a little insight as to how the tallying is done.

If someone votes a sample first place, that sample is given 3 "points".

2nd place gets 2 points, and 3rd place gets 1 point.

Yautja's first sample got an astounding 23 points, architaraz' first sample got 12 points, and four's first sample got 8 points.

Honourable mention goes to elmoyenique's 4th sample with 7 points.

Great job, everyone!

@Cable : My gosh ! This is far more than a logo (anyway a logo is destined to be usable in small format), it's ART, and in my opininion your sample is even too small for it! Maybe the 2nd t and the r of the word "fontstruct" are not enough recognizable, though.
