I'm not sure about a and e, maybe you can try just like your "s" and make the middel thinner and increase size of the upper part of "a" and lowerpart of "e"
well, it's only a suggestion ;)
you can also look at Bagel which is different but similar to your Solid Type
Thanks for the advice. I really had problems with 'a' and 'e'. Maybe it actually would be better this way. I didn't know about the Bagel font and I have to admit that it really looks very similar :)

P.S. I think 'Bagel' looks quite a bit diferent - although pixel fonts can often seem similar at first glance.
