Just as the name suggests, the look of this font is thin, angular, and jittery.

Of course, the name doesn't actually suggest that...

Some nice work there.

Being somewhat of a slave to consistency I would probably opt for more conformity amongst the punctuation. The dots on the ? ! i and j are so very diferent from the fat style used for the . , " ; etc.

@m12: I suppose that what is suggested by a font's name can be subjective. Although I never watched "Friends" on television, the series regularly featured a coffee house called Cafe Nervosa. My reference, therefore, was to caffeine jitters, rather than the condition known as Anorexia Nervosa. But thanks for taking the time to comment.

@p2pnut: It seems that the "Hidden Gems" feature is responsible for causing this ancient font to rise from the dead. My guess is that the only criterion for a "Hidden Gem" is that it received very few votes!

Like you, I'm usually hung up on consistency. Originally, the dots of the i/j/?/! were exactly as you recommend, but I was unhappy with them. In fact, the only purpose for fat punctuation marks was that this font was constructed before the improved monospacing features were added to FontStruct. In those days, creating a monospaced font required the user to fill the width of each glyph with something.

Most of my older fonts should probably be viewed as simple learning experiences. NervosaMono was just an experiment in the use of nothing but 90-degree angles, which may explain why the diagonal parts of the * are so unattractive.

I am reluctant to update this hopelessly primitive font after so much time has passed. Even so, I always appreciate your remarks and suggestions!

Correction: In my response to a comment from m12, I cited a fictional coffee house called Cafe Nervosa as the inspiration for this font's name. Its source was the "Frasier" television series. (The coffee establishment featured on "Friends" was known as Central Perk.)
