The 3-d effect is quite compatible with your octagonal style. These 45° angles align perfectly with your choice of extrusion effect; with this in mind, check characters K, k, M, W, X, x, Y, y, Z – and all others with non-45° angles – for consistency. They are breaking the perspective a bit, as the extrusion should always align at 45°, regardless of the character shape. For instance, the Z should have a bit of shadow on the right side of its diagonal, but this is chopped off by the non-45° extrusion up top.
I also propose i and j will improve by matching their upper ‘serifs’ to the size of the i’s lower ‘serifs.’ All the same, very nice first go at the style!
Clean as ever...which has the unfortunate effect of making it seem effortless...when in reality, only a master crafter such as yourself can design it so well that the design itself becomes transparent. Excellent.
@Will: You're absolutely correct about the shadow to the right of each non-45 degree angled line. I struggled with this feature before releasing the font, but I decided to omit these shadows; however, your comment caused me to take another look and make the revisions you suggested.
As for the upper serifs of i and j, I tried extending them, but I was unhappy with the way they looked. So I'm going to leave them alone.
@fontcollector: Design with no surprises is not good or bad. It depends on what you prefer. Some people value the classic shapes and proportions. Others look for radical change. One could make great fonts by following the best traditions or by breaking every rule.
Thank you very much Fontcollector

I must say.. it is a big heroic fairytale horse.. like the Belgian horse Beiaard. It was hard to construct a little horse.. but maybe one time I succeed..
