Tell me about it. In the prep drawing I (deliberately?) forgot that you can't transform twice.
Yep, the glyphs you name are pretty much the best looking of the brood.
I want to banish s and x from the alphabet.
I am amazed at the shapes you craft out of composites, especially at such a small scale ... I would probably be working on a 50 square X height to achieve anything vaguely similar!
I keep bashing my head against the wall, each time optimistic I'm going to crack through it. It's the maddening charm of Fontstruct at the smallest scale.
I think it was will.i.ૐ who pointed out how to get composites to work in a 2x2 scheme. Now I make two files side by side: a source file where I make the composite and the work file that I paste the result into. The source file also helps me to keep track of what I'm trying to achieve. I don't have a very math-friendly brain so I find working in 2x2 quite confusing. But it's the only way to get those hi-fi curves.
Excellent work! Reminiscent of Cooper Black (?), hence the title. This is absolutely exquisite. Brilliant work; but I can understand why you aren't tackling capitals.
I spotted this fontstruction shortly after its release and waited to see how it evolved. These letters look so natural. I agree with p2pnut: it's amazing to craft such shapes at this minute scale. You seem to be undaunted by this impossible task. 10/10
PS: You are not alone, my friend, if it gives you any comfort. A few weeks ago I started something overambitious I just could not deliver. I'm stuck at E and the worst thing I don't understand what went wrong. I think, I just start over from scratch.

Another interesting failure that was fun to do.
