I'm going to find a convincing way of using those damn bricks if it kills me.

Very cute, I love it. Although k & z are a bit weak.
Comment by djnippa 24th september 2010
Why not use the s to make 'em less awkward.

It looks as if you had made a baby with Funk_King ! Very distinguishable genes of you both ! Ha, the progress of genetics... :0)

phew! that was quick! You'll be aware I'm a posting-slut (when I'm around that is). I posted it for the fun of it, not because it's good! I suppose I'd do as you suggest if I was intent on working it up into something decent. But, let's face it, it's never going to fly.

You're right, neurone! I was asleep at the time and he took advantage of me.

Welcome back! This is great. I agree with djnippa on the k and z. Dare I ask, upper case?

A powerful deco font that uses the macaroni bricks in a smart way.
It is for sure worthy to be fully developed in a full set!

I disagree. It *is* convincing and original way of using the ¼ arcs. The shapes are playful yet contained. I love it.

Anything I say sounds mawkish and awkward, but I'm genuinely touched by the FS community welcome-back. The web can be a very life-affirming place.
I now feel honour-bound to at least try and flesh it out, if not finish it. This is one of those things that can never be considered finished, there are so many ways to go wrong!
The k/z suggestion was apt, 'Nippa. I'm happy with the z and I think the k is an improvement, but I'm not sure I know how to arrive at the correct shape for it.
While we're at it, anybody have any ideas re the dreaded x glyph?
Comment by intaglio 25th september 2010
IMO the H looks too much like a K. For x you can use four times of the top-right part of k, although it doesn't fit extremely well with the rest of the font.
