Now, that can't be modular, can it? That is unbellievably curvy. What a great example of what FS 2.0 can allow. Wow! 10/10

Wow. Simply amazed.
You know i am more on the experimental side, But this inspires true respect, and not only about the technical hard to believe success, but also for these elegant and subtly curved beautiful shapes, even in the non-modular world, i would have been charmed !
absobloodylutely incredible.
A great design in its own right ... to be done with FS makes it even greater 10/10+++
Truly outstanding. 10/10
How the heck can you work easily in a 132 grid?
I'd make the 'c' a little thinner.
Now that is a super curvilicious font. I say 'font' instead of fontstruction with reason. I don't think we have seen this level of fine line smoothness before here. Even though I had a preview of this font, I failed to recognize just how technically accomplished it really is. Sure such high density bricks may be frustrating work, but if the results are going to be so beautiful, the frustration may be worth it. Great work, aphoria. And great work, Rob. :-)
Awesome Awesome Awesome.
132? Ginormously massive! You didn't have to go that big to make it convincing, though. The fact that you're utilizing all of the angles together defines the smoothness. Here's a sample of a Periculum, a similar thin font I was working on before it broke. It's only 30 grid spaces high.
GREAT GREAT work
very nice hair font... en technicaly well done
I love the V and W
BRAVO! a perfect 10 for me
Sorry I wanted to say the "v" and "w"
"Q" is also simple but very nice
This font deserves a top pick!
Aurora Light means a new dawn (literally) for fontstructing. Nothing seems impossible from this point. Gorgeous demo pic. 10/10
Thank you to everyone.
I'm blown away by the massive positive response I have received for this font.
I can say it was not easy to work on this size grid. Even at a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200, I can only see about 1/4 of a character at once. And, even less of the wider characters.
Besides allowing for new angles, the most important new FS 2.0 feature was the ability to flip and rotate selections; I most likely would have given up very early without these features. Thank you Rob Meek. :)
This pic shows part of the bottom left corner of the "o", approximately 1/8 of the circle.
@geneus1 Your letters are very nice and smooth. I would love to see a screenshot of your O to see how you managed such a smooth look.
Trying out with optical kerning. Very impressive! It would be great to see a fuller character set - at least some basic punctuation.
I've been fontstructing in the same way where I only create 1/8 of the circle, then flip everything else. It really cuts down on the amount of bricks used.
I originally sketched out the possibilities for angular smoothness at extreme sizes and decided I did not want to go there. Bless you for going there, Aphoria.
Here's a screenshot of the O from Periculum. It is smooth only at certain sizes mainly due to specific scaling settings and anti-aliasing. Lots of unsuspected composite trickery had to be done to get it finalized.
@djnippa Good call on the c. I thinned it a bit. Enough you think?
@Aphoria, not knowing how the grid effects the look, but I still think shorter. It should never be wider than the a. I think it should be similar to the 'a' but without the vertical stem.
Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “Aurora Light” is now a Top Pick.
@geneus1 Thanks for the screenshot. I had considered a strategy similar to this, but I ended up going with the large grid mainly because I usually try to avoid using half-bricks on the outside edges because of spacing problems. I realize now that may not be an issue any more with the enhancements to the FontMortar. I have some experimenting to do. :)
@djnippa I shaved a little more off the 'c'. The 'c' is nine squares less wide than the 'a' and the 'a' is nine squares less wide than the 'o'.
@afrojet Thank you so much. I think I'll probably have to attempt the uppercase and numbers now to fully justify the TP. :)
What an insane grid size...And what incredibly smooth curves. You must have the patience of a saint.
And so humble about the TP...;) I think this would already deserve a "Featured Download" just like this - but uppercase and numbers would of course be great.;)
I agree with shasta on the nomination of Aurora Light for "Featured Download," even so far as to call this one "The Game Changer."
@shasta Thank you. :)
@geneus1 Your comment is overwhelming in itself...and coming from a FontStruct great is icing on the cake. Thank you.
Gets my vote for the FD :)
Coming soon...caps and then numerals!
Clean and stylish work.
Needless to say any more...
Kix comment "bis"
???
@kix Thank you.
@Upixel I'm not sure what that means.
Bad translation... :)
Sorry I thought I could say that in english
I was sharing the same comment as KIX, I agree with him a 100% and I did want to repeat exactly what he said.
"bis" in French can be translate like "Same Same" (not so accurate)
returning to the font:
http://meilleur.bell.ca/en/overview/
"work best on the best network"
this font is a customize font for BELL telephone companie here in Québec(Canada)
That was a first time I saw rounded point for V, W. Maybe the text on the Web is to small to fell it. This one is more narrowm than Aurora.
I tend to prefer to audacious Design of Aurora... Great achievement
Do you know if there is many pro fonts witch are have very rounded edge for VW and even A ?
Amazing font. I noticed that the licensing does not allow for commercial use without the authors permission. Could I use this font in door signs for a public school?
@grapeshield That would be fine. I'd love to see some pictures!
It's got my vote for the FD. This is gorgeous. No way this was made with FontStruct!
I give it 4326256326045282345670/10. Is it possible to have sex with a font?
@xenophilius Thanks!
I don't think the sex would be that great. :)
Who Knows? It's sexy enough. @zenophilius you said you weren't going to say that...lol
@upixel Bell's font is similar,but not this one.
after two years AURORA still a great and unique font in FS.
I absolutely love this work
Bravo aphoria
@Upixel Thank you.
Here is larger grid than large grid from Uptake.
