Recreation of the large pixel font from NMK/Tecmo's "GunNail" (1992).
This font is an approximation of / heavily inspired by Aldo Novarese's "Stop".
This recreation is available in TrueType+COLR and WOFF2. For a monochrome version, see this recreation.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.

@Patrick H. Lauke (redux) - WOW. Really nice gradients on this one! :^)
@goatmeal an exercise in patience recreating them…
@Patrick H. Lauke (redux) - Yes, I can't imagine how much time each glyph took; the gradient pattern is highly intricate here!
Did you do is forward (place one color brick at a time) or reverse (pasted full square gradient, drew the black shadows, and erased unwanted color blocks)?
forward … starting with the cloned monochrome version, colouring over the black pixels of each letter, then at the end deleting all of the monochrome version pixels and reusing the layer just for the shadow
Beautiful pixel rendering of Stop (by Aldo Novarese). I'm working on a new project inspired by his Eurostile family. Great work. 10/10
