old name: unknown unicode 2.0
current version: 1.0.4
future plans:
argam numerals
canIPA extensions
shidinn
unifon (plus its small forms)
you can request unicode blocks, even complex ones!
.notdef glyph is U+F6000
this font will never support every character defined in the unicode. this would be technically impossible, since a font is limited up to 65,536 glyphs.

no, this font isn't discontinued, i'm taking a break of it
finally this font has been updated after a long break
i hate demotivation
v1.0.2 is finally here
if more than 65,535 glyphs were possible, then i will rename it "THE ULTIMATE UNICODE FONT".
you really can't
@digitalio-2 depends on motivation
what do you mean motivation? it can't!

Is there a single Noto font that supports all Unicode?
There is no single universal "Noto font". One OpenType font can only hold 65,535 glyphs, and one Unicode character often needs more than one glyph. The Noto collection supports many more characters that can fit into one font. There are also additional technical limitations that makes creating a single global font impossible.
i had ratiod u
@digitalio-2 i know that more than 65,535 glyphs is not possible, but i hope in the future more than 65,535 glyphs will be possible.
i'm pretty sure it won't due to certain limits
Note: While FontDICTSelect format 4 allows for more than 65,535 glyphs, other parts of the OpenType format, such as the numGlyphs field of the 'maxp' table, are still constrained to 65,535 glyphs.

Which means that more than 65535 glyphs in a font file does exist, but still, Opentype and TrueType still limit to 65535 glyphs
@digitalio-2 and i forgot to say that, i thought the comment you posted (you really can't) was something mean, as in "erm you can't make a good unicode font!!! just give up and make a non-unicode font", so that's why i said "due to motivation".
wait seriously??? i mean like i'm trying to make a family-font (round digitalio) with compatibility for latin-ext-A
@digitalio-2 ok
it's back
i'll turn this into an HD font, except some strokes which will stay pixelated
another sample
my god 500 glyphs is just basic latin, latin suplement-1 and latin ext A-B
@lucapri it's a mini-milestone
yea and i got 1k characters (i deleted it and forgor why)
@lucapri did you deleted it by accident?
no he did an irrepalable thing and he regretted it
@digitalio-2 oh that's tragic... :( maybe he should try to contact the owner of fontstruct
he didn't want 2
it’s back again
updated fi, fl, ffi, ffl and st
almost completing latin ext.-B!
also updated ff.
i’m still here, it’s because i lost my interest in making fonts
i need to focus on fixing glyphs... 😴
i may remake my deleted font so that font will be easier to expand
i have finally fixed the letters with diacritics since they looked awful
completed google fonts basic ;)
latin extended-B is finally complete!
OH MY GOD, WHY ARE THE LETTERS K, M AND N PIXELATED?!
Armenian and Cyrrilic, please?
@NewCurvenBig unfortunately i do not know how to make HD diagonal lines, so i’ll stay them as pixelated...
@NewCurvenBig sure
moreover, i will also add greek and coptic, IPA extensions, and spacing modifier letters :)
whoops
well i guess go to north sentinel island (potentially illegal)
Lowercase Cyrillic, please?
@NewCurvenBig oke~
@NewCurvenBig also this font was a bitmap font before, hence the pixelated diagonal lines in some letters.
if quickCJK still does not update in march 10th, 2027, then i will most likely clone his font
tifinagh is in progress :)
tifinagh is done!
next: abkhaz, and the rest of the cyrillic block
Unicodite (Plane 0)
Unicodite (Plane 1)
Unicodite (Plane F)
Unicodite (Plane 10)
@ctcg_ you've officially gone bonkers
@ctcg_ actually, this font is not going to split into multiple planes.
use the slope bricks for diagonal lines????? (it's ok if they're thinner than other strokes)
an example for a symbol that would be much more readable if you added slopes is: &
@18man wow!! it looks better and smooth! however, i’m not an expert in making slopes because i don’t know how brick stacking works...
Add every latin character encoded in unicode 18.0
my gosh @ctcg_
@ctcg_ i’m speechless
@Unevensett2K26 (dhdhdhdhdhdhhdhddh) I can teach you how you can do brick stacking. You should active Expert Mode, open Menu, go to Pen Type and active the pen type that says ''Stack''. In this sample also i can teach you how you can do diagonal slopes:
@TypoMan Foundry i’ll try experimenting with that
in my opinion i think it would be a waste of time making diagonal slopes, given this font’s main goal is reaching 50,000+ glyphs...
Can I have add Unicode 17.0 support?
i am changing the capital letter A to prevent confusion from U+1DF6A
@ctcg_ again, more than 65,535 glyphs are not possible.
i did an experiment, and it surprisingly worked when i used right triangles (◢◣◤◥) instead
bro is on less than 10%
No more glyphs? You last edit was in 4 days (Monday 23rd March).
@TypoMan Foundry: no, i’m not discontinuing this font. i’m just very busy working on other fonts. i’m going to change some glyphs in this font
what do you guys think?
Sorry for late comment, but this update looks very good.
