Funny shape of letters, with these cuts before the union. Remember some works of the Smeltery guys.

Yah, lots of alphabets have similar cuts before joins. It does remind me of some SMeltery stuff, now that you mention it.
I'm going to make a less exaggerated version, with a larger grid, after this one is done. Gotta make some punctuation and uppercase first.
