It's cool, almost looking like hurdles (or deadly elements in retro platformers)… :-)
Perhaps its counterpart would be based on a sinusoid (or a quite curvy rule)?

Should have done this in 2x2 Filter, but I won't change it.
The 2/Z/z are distinguishable in context (word, number, number in a text line). You could try the 2 with a flat base triangle instead of that descending 'parallellogram', top left top corner, base starts where the top of your 'notch' joins the right digonal .
