this is very nice. crouwel is one of my favorite designers. you did a great job interpreting the letters. the font is surprising readable and beautiful as well :)

I find the 's' very difficult to read, otherwise I love this

Great font! But I agree with tallmanbaby, the S is difficult to read. And the U and the V are just the same. So I tried to design some alternative glyphs. Nice job anyway !

And the 8.

And the 8.

THANKS IGOROSSI!
As for the 'a' and the 'w', I have restricted myself to Crouwel's original characters. I think the 'n' and 'v' are really great, however, altering those would again cause me to deflect from the original poster due to continuity throughout the typeface.
I'm only really allowing artistic license on the characters featured or at least hinted at in the original Crouwel design. I'll really consider the '8' though.

You're welcome. These were just suggestions, thanks for considering them. I understand you want to stick to the original design, because I have tried several times, just as you did, to extend an existing font. Maybe you could still be interested in trying to switch the C and the E, if they don't appear on the original poster (by the way, it would be nice to see it here).

Okay, I've just seen you posted a link to the poster in the description. According to your principle, you won't switch the C and the E. But it would make the letters more recognizable.

hi, it looks like you've changed the position of the j to accommodation potential leading problems. i did a quick number check of letter combos in words: gj = 16, jj = 4, yj = 16 or ij = 79, aj = 218, oj = 121... i think you should reconsider your spacing in light of actually creating more problems than really solving for this great font :) p.s. i used wordnavigator.com website which jmarquez posted on the summer games fontpage.
