@jphturtle - The effect is created by doubling the horizontal width using the "filter" option (Menu > View > Filters or "F" shortcut key).

You can change the Vertical and/or Horizontal values of your FontStruction, ranging from 0.1 - 2.0 in size (default width = 1.0 & default height = 1.0).
