  •  I wanted to try some 'deformation' of the perspective used for italic glyphs. It was fun to try, the font looks amusing and the slants are irreverent enough. I know that a word processor could change Raysan into an italic style but a word processed Raysan would be too predictable and without creative spark.

    Despite the purposeful changing of lines specially the curved sections which don't follow any "perspective rule" this font looks italic. It has a pleasant rythm in longer headlines etc, and gives eye catching 'splash' text when used with the parent font.

    It took quite a while to finish, I constantly fought the wish to make composites and stacks to get the correct shape and directions into the curves.

It's beautiful. I can even imagine a clone with an outlined dot in the middle (that'd add to the elegant/rich style, perhaps)…

… a black static bullet, that is (vs a white mobile flower in your very nice "Raysan Decor").

Is the slant 30* or 45*?

* = degrees

@xXx XBox Gamer - Just eyeballing the L and T, I'm guessing it's a 30°-60°-90° set of angles for the slant.

Comment by Goatmeal 23rd october 2017

It should be 60° from the 1x2 set of 2 standard bricks

Comment by Aeolien 24th october 2017

xBox, I used the 2 standard bricks for slopes,1x2, that should give a 60°angle. Thanks Goatmeal :) dpla, I'll try it -- but I fear that a decorative element will "take over" the look as the lines are quite narrow?

Comment by Aeolien 24th october 2017

To me, it would be 30°. Because I go from the intersection of the 2 Axis.

@xXx XBox Gamer - You are correct.  Also, the complementary angle on the other side (such as the angle formed on the L) would be 60°.   :^)

Beauty, I mean angle, is in the eye of the beholder?

Thank you for this new TP, Meek :)

Actually, the bullet idea might add a subliminal pivot, and enrich the glyphs (this would split the repetitive lines). Anyway, congrats!
