The inspiration for sticky fingers began at identifying what it is that makes something look "filthy". After looking at a range of things that are considered filthy, it was made apparent that a lot of layers displacement that creates an uncomfortable aesthetic, often due to not knowing how or why that particular object reached that point of neglect. To reflect this, sticky fingers highlights how layers of dirty fingerprints can be tamed to the shape of letter forms, but still imitate that itchy visual discord.
