Nice. A friendly chunky blackletter - a chunkletter.

Really interesting!

I think there are some issues with letterspacing (the space between a and b for example) but the letterform design is really brilliant.

@Em42: you are right there are some problems with the spacing, but unfortunaly i don't know how to solve this. each letter has one unit space on the left side of the stems. i believe the little peaks cause this effect.

are there any suggestions how to solve it?
Comment by Ixel 24th november 2008
Unfortunately only the left side bearing can be set in FontStruct, not the right one: that's why letters with the peaks on the right have a (visually) larger right side bearing.

Anyway Rob Meek announced elsewhere that the control for the right side bearing is near, so it will be possible to solve this problem soon.

@Em42 ... nearER (than kerning support) = sooner than possibly never. it'll be a while yet — weeks rather than days. i like this FontStruction a lot as well by the way and i can see that support for an adjustable RSB would really help.

Pink dottable, at least. Some of them glyphs are irresistible. s, x, z,c...

Very well done, I’d like to see the Caps.

Beautiful work, Ixel.

And Rob, upcoming control of the right sidebearing makes me salivate, too!

The finished thing is just superb.

Wonderfully crafted! A beaut.

Nicely done. At smaller sizes, I think the lowercase "o" may be too similar to the "a", but other than that you've built a nice consistency throughout.
