I was looking at it and realized that the x-height is quite large. But that couldn't be helped. The x-height is as tall as the s wanted to be and the cap height is what the 8 attained. Neither was in my control.
As always, this was started to do something else (I can't even remember what) and it evolved into the double line style because of the s. The rest was just a matter of fitting the shapes to the style.
One note on the making: this fs would not have been possible without the nudge feature and x2 scaling. Even then, certain shapes required inventive brick scaling and placement for the glyphs to take the required shape. Like a jigsaw puzzle that you first imagine and then create the pieces yourself to finish it. Quite fun. The style is not difficult to copy. I recommend everyone to make this fs themselves to explore fontstruct.
